Regal Hospitality & Events (“Regal Events”, “we”, “us”) operates this website. Regal Events respects the privacy of its Customers and processes personal information in accordance with applicable South African data protection legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and how we use it.

What we collect

When you buy tickets, make a booking, send an enquiry or request a quote, we collect the details you give us. This includes your name, email address, phone number, the event you’re interested in, the number of guests and any message you include. When you buy tickets, we also keep your order and billing details.

Online payments are processed by our payment provider. We don’t receive or store your card details or banking login details.

How we use your information

Personal information may be collected and processed where reasonably necessary to:

• Process and manage bookings;
• Provide tickets, event information and Customer support;
• Communicate important event updates;
• Process payments;
• Coordinate services with relevant event partners and suppliers;
• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations; and
• Send marketing communications where permitted by law or where appropriate consent has been obtained.

Who we share it with

Personal information will not be sold to third parties.

Information may be shared with trusted partners, venues, ticketing providers, payment processors and service providers where reasonably necessary to fulfil a booking or provide the requested services.

How we protect it

Regal Events will take reasonable measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure.

Marketing messages

Where a Customer has provided the necessary consent or where otherwise permitted by applicable law, Regal Events may send information regarding upcoming events, hospitality packages, special offers and related services.

Customers may unsubscribe from promotional communications at any time using the unsubscribe mechanism provided or by contacting Regal Events.

Operational communications relating to an existing booking are not considered promotional communications and may still be sent where necessary to fulfil the booking.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies that it needs to work, for example to keep tickets in your cart, to remember that you’re logged in and to protect the site against attacks. We don’t currently use advertising or analytics cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. To make a request, email info@regalevents.co.za. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
